Are you having problems connecting to D-Link DNS-323 from a Vista-machine ?? Here’s the solution.

I’ve been trying just about everything to connect to my NAS and map drives on it from my Vista-machine … without luck. The authorization simply failed every time. And no network drives turned up.

I’ve managed to connect using these simple steps

– Run secpol.msc

– Go to: Local Policies > Security Options

– Find “Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level”

– Change Setting from “Send NTLMv2 response only”
… to
……….”Send LM & NTLM – use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”
